MEMORANDUM TO U.S. GIRLS JUNIOR AMATEUR 

CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER CONTESTANTS

 

The AGA and the USGA are grateful to Alta Mesa Golf Club for hosting this USGA qualifying event. Please remember that we are their guests and our conduct should reflect our thanks. Field Size & Qualifying Spots

There were 44 contestants in the field at entry deadline. The top 4 contestants will qualify for the National Championship. The Qualifier will also identify 2 alternates. In the case of a tie for the final qualifying spot or either of the two alternate positions, an immediate hole-by-hole playoff will be conducted for the contestants involved.

 

Pairings & Assigned Start Times

Pairings and order of play were prepared by the USGA and start times were assigned by the AGA. Changes to pairings or start times are not permissible for any reason. This is an 18-hole qualifier with tee times beginning at 7:00 a.m. To view pairings please visit the pairings section of this portal.  

 

Use of Golf Carts

Use of automotive transportation by contestants is prohibited. Caddies may use motorized carts (caddies must have a valid drivers license in order to rent a cart) at a cost of $17 per player, limit of two carts per group. Spectators and guests are not permitted to ride in carts.

 

CADDIE RESTRICTIONS A player may not use a parent, step parent, or guardian as a caddie during Sectional Qualifying or the Championship proper. PENALTY: See Model Local Rule H-1.2 in Section 8 of the Official Guide to the Rules of Golf.

 

Practice Rounds

Contestants only, may reserve practice rounds by calling the golf shop at (480) 832-3257. Rates are $45, including a motorized cart. Practice rounds may be booked based upon availability. Additional practice rounds may be booked upon availability, please be aware that the rate of $45 may not be available on these additional practice rounds. Players are invited to play as many practice rounds as desired.

 

Directions to the Course

The course is located in Mesa south of the North Loop 202 between McKellips Rd and Brown Rd. For exact directions please enter the course address into navigational system of choice.

Course Set up

The course shall be played from a mixed set of tees. Score card for the practice round will be available at the golf shop and is under the “Qualifying Yardages” section of this portal. The Committee reserves the right to alter the yardage based on weather and course conditions the day of the qualifying. All Local Rules will be listed on the Notice to Players. The USGA Hard Card will be attached with the conditions of competition.

 

Practice Facilities & Registration

All practice facilities will open at 6 a.m. The on-site registration will open at 6 a.m. and will be located West side of the golf shop. Players MUST check in at the Pace of Play station near the starting tee 10 minutes prior to your assigned starting time for instructions and materials. The Pace of Play station will be located near the 1st tee.  

 

Food & Beverage Service

Players MUST use a credit card for purchasing food & beverage, CASH is NOT accepted. Lunch may be purchased at the Alta Mesa Golf Club snack shop. Water and ice are available at the club house and on the course.

 

Dress Code

Golf course attire is required.

 

To Withdraw

If you find it necessary to withdraw for any reason, you MUST NOTIFY BOTH the USGA and the Erin, the official in charge prior to your assigned starting time. Contact Erin at 602-872-7023, and the USGA at 908-234-2300.
